Meet the Team

Ryan Sawyer

Ryan is a United States Marine Corps veteran, having served from 2003-Present in the reserve. He deployed in 2005 to the Iraq theatre and was decorated for his service there. Ryan holds a Mortuary Affairs Specialist certification with the Marines. He is certified in Biotrauma Remediation under Ben Lichtenwalner and serves on the Hall County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors on the Legislative Committee. Ryan is a resident of Gainesville, GA and enjoys art, painting, fitness, and wake boarding. Ryan is involved with several charities including Challenged Child, CASA, and the National Breast Cancer society. He is also responsible for the administration of the Biotrauma Annual Shore Sweep, cleaning up the banks of Lake Lanier.

Deirdre Lohn

Deirdre is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.  She completed her internship with Judge Steve C. Jones of the Athens-Clarke County Superior Court. During this time, Deirdre assisted in court proceedings in both Clarke and Oconee County. She was most recently employed with Spectrum Health Systems, a paramilitary Substance Abuse Treatment Program located at the Lee Arrendale State Prison. While with Spectrum, Deirdre became trained in Post Traumatic Stress Disorders, as well as grief counseling. In her new role as Client Service Consultant, Deirdre looks forwards to being a knowledgeable resource regarding Biotrauma services, as well as being an accessible and responsive point of contact.
